Lead Planter Resident to Network Leader

Written by Pat Masek on 03 December 2010. Posted in Residency

About 2 years I met a guy named Matt Larson who came to our Multi-Site Practicum in Chicago before it we developed it into an online product.  Matt was on staff at his dad's church, dreaming of what it might look like for him to plant a reproducing church.  When I sat down with Matt, we discussed the possibility of him doing a Lead Planter Residency at one of NewThing Churches, COMMUNITY.  Matt jumped into the residency shortly thereafter.

Matt and his wife Kristen and 3 kids moved from California to do a residency at COMMUNITY's Plainfield Campus; coached by the Campus Pastor, Brad Prunty.  After 10 months of rockin' residency, the Larsons moved back to California to plant their reproducing church in Thousands Oaks.

Today, Anthem Church is  pushing an average of 300 people, preparing to go multi-site in less than 12 months and recently, Matt stepped into being a NewThing Network Leader - providing leadership to several new church plants.

Matt's story is a story we want to see happen time and time again.  Apply for a Leadership Residency today so we can catalyze a movement of reproducing churches together.
