Gathering to Create a Movement

I just got back last month from our NewThing Gathering of Lead Pastors in Miami.  (Leadership Tip:  If you have a gathering in December, have it in Miami!).  It was an awesome time together as we took the next steps in discovering our vision and implementing our strategy for being a catalyst for a movement of reproducing churches.

VISION:  We laid out the vision for the next three years and it is going to be an amazing ride!  In the next 36 months, we are asking God to help us recruit and place 137 Leadership Residents that will result in planting 100 new churches.

STRATEGY:  We took the next step in our strategy as we reproduced from three to six Networks.  I want to welcome Troy McMahon, Mark Nelson and Hank Wilson who join Jon Ferguson, Dave Dummitt and Greg Lee as Apostolic Network Leaders.  This is a great team who are all leading amazing reproducing churches. It is really starting to feel like a movement!

If you are interested in joining us in this movement of reproducing churches then meet us at the Exponential Conference on April 20-23, 2009 in Orlando.  This year's theme is The Art of Movements:  Experience God's church planting movement around the world.

And NewThing is excited to be playing a huge role again at this event.  This year we will be offering three pre-conference intensives focusing on the reproducing church:

• Discover the Dream – Monday, April 20 8:30-11:30am
• 7 Moves to Multi-Site  – Monday, April 20 1-5pm & Tuesday, April 21 9-11am
• Reproducing Church Experience Post Launch – Monday, April 20 1-5pm & Tuesday, April 21 9-11am

Come and learn with us... as we experience the stories of those who are in the middle of movements.  I would like for every attender at Exponential to understand that God is moving and at work around the world and to be actively looking to join Him there.  You don't want to miss this event.
