Twice a year our NewThing Lead Pastors get together to hang out and strategize about catalyzing a movement of reproducing churches. In May they all came to Chicago and we had a lot of fun; but during the fun we talked about just this question: what will it take to catalyze a movement?
On March 2, 2008, the newest NewThing church, Restore Community Church, was launched in Kansas City, Missouri. The dream for Restore began over a year ago when Troy McMahon felt God telling him that it was his turn to be missional and plant a church.

Ecclesiastes 10:10 tells us: “If the axe is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed; but skill brings success.”
We are consistently looking to equip and empower leaders with the skill sets needed not only to lead, but to reproduce leaders. One such skill set comes from learning what every follower wants in a leader. If leaders can learn to start with the needs and wants of those on his or her team, there is exponential development in results as well as in the development of new teams. So what does every follower want in a leader?

God has definitely blessed us beyond what we imagined! Today, Community Christian Church reaches over 5,000 people every weekend between our nine locations in the Chicago area. And now NewThing has 16 Affiliate churches that belong to one of our reproducing networks. In addition, NewThing has equipped thousands of church leaders all over the world through Conferences, Coaching and Creative Resources. So what does NewThing Networks do?
NewThing is excited to introduce a new affiliate partner church in Raleigh, North Carolina. Lifepointe Church, under the leadership of Lead Pastor Donnie Williams, is making a splash in Raleigh and also with the NewThing Network. Lifepointe has just become a multi-site church, launching its second location in February of 2008.
