As NewThing Expands - Networks Become More Regional
Over the last couple years, NewThing has doubled its the number of reproducing churches. With the growth of the reproducing church, NewThing has also seen a growth in the number of networks (nearly 25) and movements (5). With more and more networks forming, we are excited to see that some networks now forming in cities and regions.
Forefront Launches Brooklyn Campus
Recently launched its Brooklyn Campus on Sunday, September 23rd, in a very energetic and packed house! Over 150 people joined Campus Pastor Jonathan Williams and his team as they kicked off their first service. Many new visitors were welcomed through the doors while volunteers continued setting up chairs throughout the entire service. Even the staff at the Roulette (their meeting place) observed the experience and shared positive comments.
Mission Church is One Year Old
On September 16, 2012 NewThing’s Mission Church, in Ventura, California, turned one year old! What an amazing year it has been for Mike Hickerson and his team. In the last 52 weeks, they have seen 42 people go public with their faith through baptism. You can watch one of their baptism celebrations in the Pacific Ocean by clicking here. Awesome! As this new church continues to reach out to their community they are experiencing great growth and will be reproducing a second celebration service this fall.

Genesis Church Goes Multi-Site
Genesis Church took a huge step forward for the mission of Jesus when it went multi-site for the first time on August 19. This spiritual venture increased Genesis’ total outreach to 790 people between the two campuses! Genesis is located on the northeast and now north side of Indianapolis, IN – Noblesville and Carmel. Lead Pastor Paul Mumaw and his team have a vision to be a reproducing church that helps people find their way back to God.
