Leadership Residency

The Leadership Residency is for emerging leaders whom God is calling to be a part of a reproducing movement. We are seeking people in these 2 categories:

• Leaders who want to plant a new campus or church, and want to learn the reproducing DNA and NewThing culture before they launch.
• Leaders who “want in on the game”, who want to be a part of this movement, but aren’t sure exactly what God’s next step for them in ministry is.

Timeline and Location

The ideal leadership residency would be from 12 – 18 months, and will take place at one of our NewThing Network churches.

What You Will Gain

NewThing's Leadership Residency is an opportunity for emerging church-planters to be immersed in the environment and culture of a reproducing church.  The Leadership Residency includes these key components:

• Experience – Immersion into the life and culture of a NewThing Network church.   The resident will experience the many facets of reproducing leaders and artists,  the Big Idea creative process, the Teaching Team process, and the implications of leading “one church with many locations,” and much more.
• Wheaton Partnership – The Resident will have the opportunity to participate in our new partnership with Wheaton College. This includes the chance for the resident to earn their Masters Degree through Wheaton, while having both Wheaton and NewThing potentially cover 25% each (50% total) of the tuition.
• Preparation for Church or Campus Launch (applicable to church planters) – Developing a launch strategy.  The resident will take advantage of various tools such as the launch checklist, launch team matrix and the experience of NewThing staff to begin developing a strategy for launching a new church or campus.
