NewThing Global Huddle: London Edition
London: the city of Shakespeare, Afternoon Tea, the Queen, and movements that ripple across the world. London’s history as an incubator of religious movements (like William Tyndale, John Wesley, Catherine and William Booth, etc…) combined with its current status as a truly global city, made the Global Huddle an inspiring international event dreaming big of how God could use us. After two days of meeting with over 50 church leaders from 15 countries, representing every inhabited continent in the world, we leave truly energized!
The purpose of the NewThing Global Huddle is to bring together leaders who are effecting change in their context through a dedication to church planting to plan the next steps. We want to see movements sparked across the world, ones that exponentially change their churches, cities, and countries for Christ.
Collaborating on strategy in this way ensures that these plans include the experience and expertise of all our brothers and sisters. We gain valuable insight into how God works in contexts far removed from our own and that insight can inform our own experiences. We are strengthened by contact with each other.
Leaving London, we’re reminded that God is on the move.
The work of God isn’t confined to language, to ethnicity, to nationality, to gender, or to economic levels – but is truly universal and all encompassing.
